My Story
Personal Side Of John
- I was born and raised in Arnprior, Ontario and have lived in Oakville, Windsor, Ontario. I recently moved back to the Ottawa Valley after 35 years in Vancouver, BC
- I was a member of Rotary International for 12 years with hundreds of volunteer hours. I was named Rotarian of the Year (twice)
- I grew up through the ranks of Scouting
- I have been a paid and volunteer Santa for over 12 years
- I am an avid curler and love boating
I love pasta, beer, scotch and sushi - I am an animal lover
- I love to laugh, make others laugh and enjoy stand-up comedy
- I am detail oriented
- I enjoy woodworking and gardening
- I delight in telling stories about Big Joe Mufferaw
- I am open to new experiences
- I love big screen action and adventure movies
- My favourite place is the family cottage
- I have travelled coast to coast in Canada, extensively in the US, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and enjoyed many vacations to Mexico
Professional Side Of John
- I am a Certified Wedding Officiant and a member of OAPWO (Ontario Association of Professional Wedding Officiants)
- I have been a licensed Mortgage Broker for over 28 years currently licensed in both BC and Ontario
- I take time to train others in my industry
- I worked as a marketing manager, operations manager and leasing manager in the shopping centre industry
- I worked at three different radio stations in Ontario hosting my own afternoon show
- I graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Radio and Television Arts
- I have a side business where I help people record videos about the stories of their lives so that future generations can get to know their ancestors

- I am passionate about helping home owners with their mortgage financing.
